Yo!
Im z!
I like to write.
I write a lot and I change a lot..
…..I grieve a lot.
I think a lot about past endings, about changes, about what once was and what will end next.
I sometimes think myself to be a downer. I prefer to think of my relationship with grief as a means of communion with the language of residence that is the native tongue of all things.
I’m starting a career in the death-care field, and I am in college for journalism. I love music, reading and time in nature; though I grieve the planet’s ecosystem often.
I like to ask myself questions to see who answers. Right now I’m curious about what phase I’m in. It’s October. I’m in a dormancy between living situations. Im in a renaissance with my career path and I’m in a relationship that, though the leaves are love-heart red, feels like an endless summer.
But, summer’s over. All things end. To love is to lose and nothing but those facts themselves are everlasting. This blog itself is a phase. I find that exciting.
I am grateful for finality. Only the darkest cemetery soil can sprout the sweetest smelling flowers. That is the alchemy of temperance. The pleasure of patience. All things end; thus all things begin.
I like to write. I want the version of myself that doesn’t have a writing project going on to die. Right now. I am killing him.
Im sure in this journey my posting will be infrequent due to the fluctuating reality of my circumstances but, I’m happy to have laid that version of myself to rest.
I hope that these ups and downs to come will bring me wisdom enough to share. May these essays, articles and poems denote some time kind of growth so that you too may mourn the way it used to be.
Bear witness to the pain, fear grief, love joy and confusion so it can be held in the belly of our souls and be digested before the worms do it for us.
That’s enough from me tonight.
It was nice to meet you.
And remember, its just a phase.
